Deadly Israel Strikes Hit Lebanon, Leave Hundreds Dead and Injured

A devastating wave of Lebanon airstrikes has killed at least 182 people and injured hundreds more. Israeli forces launched one of the most intense attacks in the ongoing conflict. The strikes hit several مناطق across the country within minutes. As a result, fears of a wider conflict have grown, even as diplomatic talks continue in the region.
According to Lebanon’s health ministry, at least 890 people suffered injuries in the حملات. Rescue teams are still searching through the rubble, so the death toll may rise. The Lebanon airstrikes struck key areas such as the southern suburbs of Beirut, southern لبنان, and the eastern Bekaa Valley.
Israeli officials said they carried out a large scale attack on Hezbollah مواقع. They claimed forces hit over 100 command centres and military positions in about 10 minutes. However, the reality on the ground tells a different story. Civilians have paid the highest price.
In Beirut, emergency workers spent hours searching through collapsed buildings. They worked to find survivors trapped under debris. In many homes, rescuers found items that showed normal life. These included family photos, clothes, and unfinished schoolwork. Such scenes show how fast violence can destroy daily life.
Residents who witnessed the attacks described fear and confusion. Abdelkader Mahfouz visited the scene to check on his injured brother. He described the area as chaotic and painful. The resident said civilians continue to suffer the most. He also asked what ordinary people can do in such a situation.
Meanwhile, confusion surrounds a ceasefire linked to talks involving the United States and Iran. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office stated clearly that Lebanon is not part of that agreement. Officials in Washington repeated this position. They said the truce does not cover the situation involving Hezbollah.
Hezbollah has not claimed any attacks since the ceasefire announcement. However, the group warned that it still has the right to respond. It also advised displaced families to delay returning home until a clear and official agreement is in place.
Furthermore, the Lebanon airstrikes form part of a wider conflict that has already taken over 1,700 lives. At least 130 children are among the dead. The war has forced more than 1.2 million people to leave their homes. This has placed heavy strain on the country. Many families now live in crowded shelters, temporary camps, or even inside their cars.
Entire villages near the Israeli border have suffered heavy damage or total destruction. Israeli forces continue their push to create what they call a security buffer zone. As a result, some المناطق may remain under control for a long time. This situation may stop residents from returning home.
At the same time, tensions within Lebanon continue to rise. Hezbollah still has support from some parts of the population. However, many المواطنين blame the group for dragging the country into conflict. In addition, fear of more attacks has increased divisions among communities hosting displaced families.
Lebanese authorities said they will keep working to bring the country into a wider peace effort. There are also signs that officials may accept direct talks with Israel, even without formal ties. For now, the violence continues, and civilians carry the heaviest burden.
