Singer D4vd Arrested in Connection to Death of Celeste Rivas Hernandez Found in Tesla

Platinum selling artist D4vd now faces a serious criminal investigation after police arrested him in Los Angeles. The Singer D4vd arrest has drawn wide attention after authorities linked him to the death of 14 year old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Investigators found her remains months earlier inside a vehicle registered to the musician.
First, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that officers took the 21 year old singer into custody after securing a warrant. Detectives said they established probable cause before making the move. Officers arrested him on Thursday afternoon. Shortly after, footage showed him in handcuffs as police led him away. For now, authorities are holding him without bail while prosecutors review the case.
Meanwhile, the investigation began in September 2025 under troubling conditions. A tow yard contacted police after noticing a strong odor from an impounded Tesla Model Y. When officers opened the trunk, they discovered human remains. Later, officials identified the body as Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Reports stated that the remains had decomposed badly and had stayed in the vehicle for a long time.
At the same time, officials kept many details from the public. Investigators placed tight restrictions on the case for months. Even the medical examiner could not release full findings due to legal limits. As a result, authorities listed the cause of death as undetermined at the early stage because of the condition of the remains.
Then, the Singer D4vd arrest followed months of steady investigative work. Detectives gathered witness statements and presented them before a confidential grand jury. Court documents later showed that Burke had become a central focus in the case. However, officials had not filed formal charges at the time of the arrest.
On the other hand, Burke’s legal team has strongly pushed back against the claims. His attorneys stated clearly that he did not commit the crime. They argued that available evidence would support his innocence. In addition, they pointed out that prosecutors have not issued a formal indictment. They also described his detention as based only on suspicion at this stage.
Furthermore, the victim’s story has added to the weight of the case. Her family reported her missing in 2024, long before authorities found her remains. People who knew her described her as kind and focused on her education. Because of this, her disappearance raised concern early on. Later, the discovery of her body brought deep distress to her family and the community.
Next, authorities are preparing to move the case forward. Investigators plan to present their findings to the district attorney’s office. Prosecutors will then decide if the evidence meets the legal standard for formal charges. Until that decision comes, officials say they will release only limited details.
